Shimla, Mar 9 (UNI) Hailstone and thunderstorms accompanied with light rain showers plummet the Mercury in Himachal Pradesh during past 24 hrs, however it mainly remained sunny on Thursday. Met Office recorded 17.5 mm rain at Jubbarhati, Shimla received 15.6 mm of rain, Sundernagar (Mandi) 14 mm, Bilaspur 12.2 mm, tourist resort Kufri 5.7 mm, Narkanda four mm, Dharmshala and Mandi three mm. Minmum temperature of Shimla declined to 5.8 degrees which was three degrees lower than yesterday. Bhuntar airport 7.2, Kalpa one, Dharamshala 11.4, Una 10.8,Nahan 15.1, Keylong minus four, Palampur 9.5, Solan 6.6 Tourist resort Manali 3.8, Kangra 10.7, Mandi 9.6, Bilaspur 10, Hamirpur 9, Chamba 9.5, Dalhousie 7.3, Airport Jubberhatti 8.4 ,Kufri 3 and Narakanda 0.7 degrees. Manali Leh National Highway ( NH - 003 ) up to Darcha and Pangi Killar Highway ( SH - 26 ) is open to all types of local vehicles . The Darcha Shinkula road and Kaza road (NH-505) is closed from Graphu to Kaza and Sumdo to Losar is open for all types of vehicles. The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in next 25 hrs in the state.
